About MelanCare

Built around a specific gap
in aesthetic medicine.

MelanCare sits at the intersection of aesthetic medicine, financial protection and technology, an infrastructure company being built for a market segment that has not been served by a specialised protection model.

What MelanCare is

MelanCare is an early-stage company developing a financial protection solution for aesthetic medicine. The intent is a protection option offered alongside selected higher-risk treatments, delivered through insurance partners rather than carried by MelanCare.

Why it exists

Where an aesthetic outcome requires correction or follow-up care, patients can face meaningful out-of-pocket exposure, and practices have few structured ways to address that part of the conversation.

Who it serves

Aesthetic practices and their patients in the United States, with insurance partners providing the underlying risk capacity and MelanCare providing the technology, distribution and infrastructure layer.

How the model is being developed

Product scope, eligibility and covered events are being defined with clinical, actuarial and insurance input. Nothing is confirmed at this stage: no carrier arrangement, coverage or pricing is in place.

Why melanated skin is central

Treatment planning and risk management can differ across skin phototypes. MelanCare is being designed specifically around aesthetic medicine involving melanated skin, so eligibility and product design reflect that population from the start.

The founder

With 10 years of experience across finance and insurance, the founder previously built and operated three aesthetic clinics in France. Working at the intersection of these two worlds revealed a gap in financial protection for aesthetic treatments, particularly for patients with melanated skin. MelanCare was created to address that gap and bring a new approach to financial protection in aesthetic medicine.
